Garden rules
The outdoor facilities and greenhouses are open to the public free of charge.

The paths may not be left, entering the beds and meadow areas is prohibited
Dogs are not allowed in the garden.
Plants and plant parts may not be removed under any circumstances.
Any damage to or soiling of the greenhouses and outdoor areas as well as any damage, alteration or removal of signs and labels is prohibited.
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the greenhouse complex.
In the event of danger to the personal safety of visitors due to storms, thunderstorms, etc., visitors must leave the outdoor facilities immediately and without being asked.
Photography for private purposes is permitted, the rights remain with the Karl-Franzens University of Graz.
The instructions of the garden staff must be followed at all times. In the event of gross violations of the garden regulations, the continuation of the tour may be prohibited.
Visitors visit the gardens in their own interest and at their own risk. The University accepts no liability.
The garden management
Photography and filming in the botanical garden
Photography and filming is permitted in the Botanic Garden for private purposes.
The rights remain with the University.
For recordings for commercial purposes, please contact the Event Service of the University of Graz.
Barrier-free access
The outdoor area and the historic glasshouse are fully accessible.
The show greenhouses are largely barrier-free, the raised walkways can be reached via the ramp at the tropical house.
Dogs
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the entire garden area.

Streetcar line 1, stop "Hilmteich Botanischer Garten"
From there, walk into Schubertstraße in the direction of the university. After a few steps you will reach the main entrance on the right-hand side of the street.
Bus line 41, bus stop "Botanischer Garten"
By car
Vehicles can park in Schubertstraße or Holteigasse in the green zone. (limited spaces)
Festivals and celebrations
The greenhouses of the Botanic Garden offer the opportunity to celebrate festive events in a unique atmosphere. The entrance area can accommodate approx. 60 people standing, with limited seating available. An information room integrated into the greenhouse offers space for buffets.
Further information on costs for rental, supervision, lock-up service and cleaning can be obtained from the Event Service of the University of Graz.
Garden store
In the entrance area of the show greenhouses you will find a wide range of products from the garden.
Elisabeth Helmberger transforms herbs, fruits and roots into tasty salts, chutneys and jams.
