The Society of Friends of the Botanic Garden has set itself the goal of promoting the Graz Botanic Garden and the idea of nature conservation and the environment. To this end, it organizes exhibitions and events for all those interested in botany. It supports educational formats as part of the Freiland Lab. It also organizes voluntary work at events in and around the Botanic Garden. The subject areas are very diverse. Looking beyond the boundaries of natural science creates exciting points of contact with social issues, art and culture.

Free lectures take you to the most remote habitats in the world and invite you to marvel and explore. Members of the association are informed about current events through regular program mailings.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Botanic Garden and the greenhouses.

In order to achieve these goals for you, we naturally incur costs - despite our organizational efforts, which are of course voluntary. We therefore use your contributions and donations for

• Information Information material (posters, invitations, flyers) Mailings to members
• Equipment for exhibitions and other public events, e.g. furniture, panels, decoration, illustrative materials such as fruit, seeds, etc.
• Personnel expenses for free guided tours, supervisors, hospitality
• Subsidies for printing costs of exhibition catalogs and brochures
• Subsidy for the annual garden trip
• Subsidies for costs not (fully) covered for buffets

Once a year, the Society of Friends of Graz Botanical Garden organizes a trip. A wide variety of specialist businesses, parks, cultural sites and natural areas worth seeing are visited.
